About Current Break Co.
Where the flats meet fine art.
Why Current Break Co. Exists
Current Break Co. was born out of a pretty simple dream — to fish and draw every day, and find a way to make a living doing both. The name says it all: a current break is where fish hold, where the water slows and something good happens. That's the life I'm building. One that keeps me close to the water, with a pencil in my hand and a rod nearby.
The Work
Every piece starts the way it should — with a pencil and a blank page. I draw each subject by hand in graphite, working from moments I know: a redfish locked onto a swimbait, a blue marlin being leadered boat-side after a long fight, a snook tucked tight into the mangroves waiting for something to swim past. When I'm satisfied with the original, it becomes a museum-quality fine art print — archival inks, premium substrates, built to last.
The Species
I focus on the gamefish of the East Coast and Southeast — the species that define inshore and offshore saltwater fishing in this part of the world. These aren't decorative fish prints. They're portraits of fish that mean something to the people who chase them.
Make It Yours
If you've got a favorite photo from a day on the water — a grip and grin, a fish at the boat, a moment you want to hold onto — I can turn it into a hand-drawn graphite piece made just for you. Commissions are a great way to get something personal on the wall. If you're interested, just reach out and we'll talk through it.
Why It's Collectible
Everything in the shop comes from original hand-drawn art — no stock illustration, no digital shortcuts. Prints are produced in limited runs, so what you're buying is a piece that started as a real drawing, not a file. For the angler or coastal collector who cares about that, it makes a difference.
Built for the People Who Get It
I make this work for people who fish. If you've stood on a bow at first light watching a laid-up fish, you already know what I'm trying to capture. That's who this is for.
